Hi all,
I've released an update to Web Connection in Version 8.4. This is a small maintenance release that fixes a couple of bugs that have been discussed here on the forums and also provides a few small enhancements.
I've posted a full release post with all the details of the updates here:
Although the bugs fixed are minor they could potentially impact your applications, so I recommend if you're on any v8 version to update to this release as soon as possible.
Aloha,

Thank you for not forgetting my small hints over the years... 😃
I look forward to check out the New Offline Documentation Viewer anytime soon.
I guess I forgot to put the link to the Offline Viewer into the mail and the post here:

Hi Rick,
I'm starting to look at getting my environments on 8.4 and I see there's a new DLL in the wconnect folder - WestwindDotnet.dll. I tried searching for that in the online docs but didn't get a hit. What is this library for? Should I be looking at adding it to my distro?
tia

One more thing I see while comparing is that the version # on the wc.dll does not appear to have changed but the dll does have diffs.
Just an fyi in case it means something to you.
Yeah that DLL does not get updated any more. I know I did last time, but I probably should have just left it at 8.0. For next release I might just reset it back to 8.0 and then never touch it again!

Thanks. What about the WestwindDotnet.dll?
Remove that DLL - that shouldn't be there. It's a custom DLL that I use for West Wind Web site related things. Used on the Weblog for retrieving banner ads.
I have to make sure the build process excludes that file in the future.
