I bought 2 licenses of WebSurge in march and saw I could update for free to v2 But where can I do that? there is no clear update instruction nor any reaction via email. Could you tell me how to update to v2?
If you have installed Chocolatey, you can easily upgrade using choco install WestwindWebSurge
Tnx but it's about the license key .. that is not accepted in v2
First install the "old" version, and activate it using the license key. Then run the code I showed you. I did it myself earlier today, worked like a charm.
Ah okay first install 1.x version and register then update running a v2 installer (or packagemanager)
The easiest is to use Chocolatey as I have mentioned before. Note that I also provided the link for it.
Version 2.0 is an upgrade, so it's not free. There's a new licensing scheme used for v2 as well that gives individual license keys...

You can also stay with v1 by going to the download page and clicking on the link below the big button for v1 downloads:
Or you can install the older version from Chocolatey:
choco install westwindwebsurge --version=1.24

Just getting to your original message in this thread. Yes you qualify for a free upgrade if you purchased WebSurge v1 after January 1st of this year (2021).
I haven't got the official process in place yet, but you can place an order for the upgrade with a promo code of FREE_UPGRADE, and if the free upgrade is valid I'll void small charge that is applied currently.
