Have been using West Wind help builder for years... Now have one user who cannot open a PDF in the interface, he can open any other PDF's.
Two messages: There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found.
The other is mk: @MSITStore:c:\Users\userid\desktop\epubs.chm:/HTTP;//10.173.11.61 is correct The files attempting to accessed are in fact located at 10.173.11.61
Not a valid file or URL path if referenced with an IP address. It needs to be formatted either as a UNC path or URL scheme (ie. https://xx.xx.xx.xx/).
Opening PDF files from within a CHM file may not work in many situations due to security restrictions of the CHM viewer's browser engine (IE).
My recommendation: Ditch CHM and put the docs online on a static Web site. It look better, be searchable and overall have a better experience. Hooking up into FoxPro will be a bit more work as you have to map help requests to online help, but worth it to ditch the hideous CHM viewer.
