When trying to build my help file with Build Output it gets through Generating Index 100% complete and then gives a program error LOSER is not an object. I can cancel or ignore. If I cancel, it closes the program. If I ignore it says Function argument value, type, or count is invalid. It's doing this on 5.33.0. If I roll back to 5.20, I can compile with no issues.
Hmmm...
I don't see that here. No problems compiling.
The error sounds like it relates to the new feature that creates the searchable index for browser based index. But I just installed from Chocolatey and ran the new install and it worked for me, so not sure what's different.
Anything you can think of that might be different in your steps?

Hmm, Unfortunately not. I just know if I do the build output with my files in 5.22 it ran fine. Once I upgraded to the 5.33 I get the LOSER error. Any suggestions on what else I can check to get more information?
There should be a little more info in the error log, but I know where the problem is, just not sure why that serializer variable wouldn't be initialized. Only thing I can think of is if the generation failed altogether, but in that case you should see an error message before it ever gets to the indexing code.
Can you try reinstalling? I think when 5.33 was initially released there was a bug in the initial release, which I replaced shortly. Did you install recently or some time ago? (probably should have rev'd the version but it was literally within a couple hours of the release).
I just uninstalled and reinstalled from the Web Site as well to double check and that's working as well. Perhaps try creating a new help file and add a few dummy topics to it then run it against that to see if the problem might be related to something in the content of the help file or the generation of it.
Are you building a CHM file and is that failing perhaps? Even with that though I don't see it fail on my end.
