we received an email from one of our trading partners stating: 'we disable all SHA1 SSH Key Exchanges which are considered to be insecure'

And they are switching to SHA-2 shortly.

Is class wwSFTP compatible with SHA-2 protocol ?

Not sure to be honest. Using SSH.NET for the library that provides this and I believe there are no options for specifying the key protocol. You can just pass a key and it will try to automatically detect the protocol if I recall.
