Try Westwind Web Surge for the first time from the source.

  1. In the class StressTestForm, in the function: HtmlPreview you have a line: File.WriteAllText(outputPath, html); where the default folder is: html\_preview.html However, if there is no "html" folder in the user folder: AppData\Roaming\West Wind WebSurge and then it crushes.

Checking for the existence of the folder and give the user an appropriate message.

  1. On the class StressTestForm to set the "save" button to Visible = false this.btnSaveRequest.Visible = false; and this way the user can not save his request as shown on your video. I will appreciate any advice on how I can try your application.

Thanks a lot

Those folders need to be there otherwise you're missing the rendering templates and nothing really works.

You'll need to install or re-install the program. It's not an x-copy deployable application - you have to run the installer.

I've added a startup check that lets you know of the problem, along with the resolution, rather than running into a hard crash later:

Hi Rick Thank you very much for this fix.

  1. Do you upload Github a development version with this fix?

  2. I run the setup, and most of the application works just fine. However, the "Save" button is still missing. Set its Visibility to "true" show the button, but clicking it, does not work.

Thanks a lot Eliezer Kaplansky PhD.

Don't know. You have to have request(s) in the request lists on the left in order to save.

You need to click New Request to create a new request, then edit which should give you an entry on the left in the list.

Hi Rick "You have to have request(s) in the request lists on the left in order to save." I have. I click the "Test" button. IT works fine. See the attcahed image.

However, now I want to save my edited request and there is no "save" button. In your code, the save button visibility is set to false.

Now I close the application. Reopen and my request is not saved.

Thanks a lot.

There's no Save buttons for requests. The request just update as you edit and tab out of fields. Changes are immediately applied.

Hi Rick

Thank for the explanation. What makes the confession is the video on your web. The image here is taken from your video.

So, how I can get my previous requests after I quit the application and reopen it? Is I need to use "Sessions" => export and then import?

Is there an updated decoumntation?

Eliezer

I don't understand your question.

You create new requests by clicking on New Request, then fill in the data to create it. It's automatically added and it should show up in the list on the left. You can use the Save button in the toolbar to save all the requests in the Session to a file that you can later load or share.
