Just got the message about the new version, so I downloaded v 1.26.11.3 from https://markdownmonster.west-wind.com/download

But I get Yikes! Something went wrong... '-381' is not a valid value tor property Width'. The error has been recorded and written to a log file and you can review the details or report the error via Help | Show Error Log Do you want to continue? If I select continue, I was getting a blank MM window.

I tried to reboot, uninstall and re-install - now I can no longer capture the error which pops up briefly, nor do I see any MM window - it just seems to terminate.

I don't know where I can find the Error long - not in AppData\Local\Markdown Monster

Thanks

Update: I just installed version 1.26.11.3, and it runs fine. May I guess that you have switched to using fewer monitors, or rearranged them?

Remu, unfortunately I am not able to try it myself, since Chocolatey is not giving me the very last version.

Anyway, I have an idea of what the problem is. MD stores all settings in the file MarkdownMonster.json. Try to open the file in an editor, for instance Code, and search for -381. Replace it with a positive value, and try again.

Yes there was a bug in 1.26.11.2. Should have been fixed in .3, but there is 1.26.12 out now and that definitely has the issue fixed.

So, I tried 1.26.12.0 - but the same issue. I tried searching the MarkdownMonster.JSON file for -381 - not found. So, I just renamed the file to xMarkdownMonster.json and it started OK. Thanks.

Hmmm... that sounds like a corrupt config file, or perhaps you were trying to open a non-existing file? That should give a message, but continue to open just fine.

Note that you can run:

mmcli reset

to reset Markdown Monster.
