I would like to start using FoxIntheCloud but I have a couple of questions.

1. In addition to FoxintheCloud , what other software do I need?
2. For my windows application , I’m using Visual Pro Matrix as a framework. I don’t want to modify its classes so I’m planning to Create a more basic application only with the features that need to be in the Web. Of course both applications , windows and web , will have the same back end. So for this basic application, since I will start from scratch and it won’t be using the framework, what do you recommend Should I use views instead of using the tables directly ? Should I add the views or tables to the data environment ? Any other recommendation? Does FoxintheCloud really care about any of these and works the same either way? How do I purchase it? I don't see a way to do it in the website

1. You need a valid license of West-wind Web Connect 4+ and ActiveWidgets 2.6+. For more details, please see our documents attached:

2. WRT response time, native access to VFP tables is the fastest method; WRT to later moving to a SQL database, Views or CursorAdapter are a better option. FoxInCloud disregard whether you open your tables, cursors and views, in Data Environment or code in form.Load(). However we recommend using a private dataSession as it better isolates the aliases that a form really needs, and prevents FoxInCloud from managing useless aliases (albeit you have the ability to select or reject aliases). Please make sure to keep cursors lines*rows count below 1k.

Make sure to checkout the FoxInCloud Live Tutorial to get a grasp on the coding peculiarities that FoxInCloud requires.

3. You can develop using the trial version of FAS, you need a 'full' license only when going to production, or if you need a full debugging ability.

That is what I figure , the system blocks a lot of emails. I will send only from my personal email for future communications. One more question, will I need a full version of West-wind Web Connect 4 for development ?

You need a full version only for production, or if you prefer have source code for debugging. Please note that we supply the 3 full licenses bundled (FoxinCloud, WWWC, AW); either trial version without any source code, or full version with all source codes.
