I am curious if you can share a list of the files and folders that are installed and or updated when unzipping and running your setup routine. I need to figure out which files to add to my SVN so I do not miss anything. Perhaps your setup builder software has a log of what it is all doing...

You can just unpack into a new folder and then use a file compare tool like Beyond Compare to see what's different between versions.

Do you do any registry updates or copying of dll's outside of the install folder?

Nope.

Web Connection Installs - and new projects - are all fully self-contained.

This is why you can now easily have side by side installs of multiple versions and projects.

The only things that can be problematic is top level Web sites, pushing settings into virtuals and sub applications, but that's something a bit different.
