Hi there,
Is there an issue with Markdown Monster and Snagit 2020?
I click the Screen Capture Button > The timer starts > I do the capture > Snagit Editor comes up > I click finish and Markdown Monster does nothing.
I tried to save the image and click finish as well and not result either.

Not sure - haven't installed the new version at this point. Need to check.
To be honest I've stopped using the plugin, because it doesn't seem like much extra effort to:
- Use SnagIt directly to capture (off hot key or always running in task menu for me)
- Capture and Preview in the Editor
- Highlight and/or crop as necessary in Preview Editor
- Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C to copy to Clipboard
- Ctrl-V Paste into MM Editor
I'll look into the SnagIt 2020 issue but I have a feeling that if there is a problem on the SnagIt end (ie. they often break the COM object that we interface with) I'm not sure I'm going to work around this at this point. It's happened so often and there are so many version specific fixes it's maddening.

Thanks, Rick, I saw the earlier problems in 2017, why I asked the question. Yes, copy all will work from Snagit even, but you can always save a keystroke 😃 Nice to meet an honest developer by the way 😃
Took a look at this and I can duplicate. I've opened a ticket with Techsmith here:

Definitely a bug on their end. The Finish operation never throws up the file open dialog as it's supposed to and at that point calling code just hangs because SnagIt never completes the capture until the COM interop times out.
This has to be fixed by Techsmith. They've had this same problem on previous releases (I think 2018) and I know their team has very little interest in fixing the many issues in the COM interface. It's lowest priority in their work.

No problemo @Rick, I understand it is out of your hands, I am a new user to your app and I am trying to create a workflow as I have to build a manual like blog with lots of screen dumps, so I was testing all the options, and maybe thought it was Sandboxie that somehow "trapped" the API call or something similar, why I reached out. Of all the programs, Typora, etc. it seems your markdown program is the great middle road, for a newbie like me. But as I a using GitHub Pages, Jekyll and Netlify and need to be "open" markdown seems to be the way to go. Thanks for your fast response, it is damn nice in today's world, kind of make me feel special for a change and not as simply another number. For some of us old people, it still counts 😃
This gives me a potential idea though. I think SnagIt has a mode where you can tell it to put the image into the clipboard or somehow return the raw image rather than the filename. If I can figure out to do this I might be able to make this work without the dialog that SnagIt throws up which has been a thorn in my side anyway because you can't specify the start folder for the images.
