Hi Rick,
I'm creating new thread as I have a question about UseStaComServers setting on web.config. It's set to False in my configuration and I'm having my web system set up on IIS as a Web Site and not as Application, running under Default Web Site. I'm also having 4 instances of COM server running at the same time.
As far as I understand, having UseStaComServers to False is actually trying to run in Multi-Tenant Apllication mode which means 1 COM server running, but many Applications linked to it via virtual paths. So, if I have 4 COM servers running and I don't have many applications and virtuals, should I set UseStaComServers to True?
This setting is an internal setting and it really shouldn't be changed under normal circumstances. Web Connection uses its own thread pool manager that pins COM servers to specific pooled threads, so the servers can run in MTA apartments.
The main reason for this flag is for DLL COM servers (which work but are not recommended) and for oddball cases where other COM objects are used inside of VFP in DLL COM servers that have to be STA.
If you're using normal operation with Web Connection you shouldn't change this flag.
