I create a new project, call it webdemo (just like the step thru). I see default.htm in the webconnectionprojects\webdemo\web folder. I can open this HTML file with an editor and modify it to add a menu item like Customer List. My issue: Sometimes this works and sometimes it just does not work. I have tried closing the browser and closing foxpro, because I feel it must be some sort of caching issue but I can not find anything that works consistently.

Is it true that if I use file explorer and go to c:\webconnectionprojects\webdemo\web and open default.htm with Notepad and change the text in the footer to "Your Company GOES here" rather than "Your Company here" (the default value), and close and save and then do webdemomain.prg, that I should see that change?

Yes - if you're using the IIS Express or Web Connection Web Server, these servers always by default reuse the same server:port combination. The browser caches static content, so you have to have hard refresh using Ctrl-F5 or Ctrl-Shift-R or Shift+ Refresh button. So if you create multiple applicatinos and switch back and forth it's quite likely you see a cached version from the 'other site'.

Doing a full refresh once should fix that issue.
