If I use West-Wind Web Connection I will need to run my vfp software at about 1000 current small business locations. What will my cost for the West-Wind Web Connection license be? And what will be the license cost for FoxInCloud? I will not start the convertion until I know what the costs will be. If I can not run all of these businesses on a single server, what is the required licensing breakdown? Are these one time costs or yearly.

At the end of our FAQ page, there is a table that summarises the licensing terms of software products involved in FoxInCloud.

• West-Wind Web Connection licensing mainly depends on the number of physical servers your application runs on, and the number of developers,
• ActiveWidgets licensing depends on the number of developers,
• FoxInCloud depends on the number of servers and the number of concurrent users ('Concurrent Active Sessions', CAS).

As you mention 'small businesses', I assume each has about 5 concurrent users.

Based on experience, you can run between 5 and 10 concurrent users per CPU; let's take 5 for safety, 5k CAS total.

So you need 1,000 CPUs total, 60 16-CPU servers total; here is the cost breakdown (cheaper if you choose 24- or 32-CPU servers):

One-time license cost

• WWWC: 50 + 2x5 = $3,999 + 2x$899 = $5,797
• ActiveWidgets: $495 / developer
• FoxinCloud (this OEM pricing requires following a 3-day on-site training):
  • 60 servers: 50 + 10 = $7,690 + $2,790 = $10,480
  • 5,000 concurrent users: $6,869 * 5 = $34,345

Total about $50 k, $50 per client, $10 per user

This grants your client and you a perpetual license

Optional Upgrades

• WWWC: please ask WWWC
• ActiveWidgets: none
• FoxinCloud: 12% of the total license amount yearly, $5.4 k/year.

Also, please note that FoxInCloud only requires an adaptation of your code, not a conversion. It means that, once adapted, your same code base will work on the desktop just like now, and on the Web in either 'classic' mode (à la VFP), or in 'responsive' (Bootstrap) mode.
