I've been scraping some web sites with wwHttp.get() - about 10% are responding with an message that says: "We suspect this is a DDOS attack. Access is denied." I'd appreciate knowing if there is a work around.

No... there's no workaround for that other than not hitting hte site as frequently as you are doing.

DDOS is denial of service, which means you're likely hitting the site in question too often and their DDOS filtering is kicking in to cut you off.
