We are seeing the message "Application Error: Thread was being aborted" in the log viewer. This condition does not trigger a down alert but it is triggering a site back up alert.

Could this be happening due to the time our web site is taking to load? We have the "Request Timeout" set to 15 seconds and are checking the site every 60 seconds.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe... you probably shouldn't have a 15 second timeout for a request to complete or if it really does you probably shouldn't check it quite as frequently.

Is that error a server message, or an error message from the application?

It is an error in the Web Monitor Log Viewer. I have increased the timeout setting to 30 seconds but would like to keep the Check Frequency at 60 seconds. Do you think that will be a problem?

Also, is there a way to suppress the sending of the Site Back up Message?

If you are expecting 30 second requests I would say there's something really wrong with your application. Nothing should take that long. And although I don't think that's the actual problem your timeout should be a 10th of the frequency at least.

Not sure about the error - still not clear to me whether this a Web Site check error or an application error. I think an application error would crash the app.
