Hi everyone,
This is not that techy question but I know someone will have an answer for it.
I've got this from our clients about the end users:

For those clients that are not that tech savvy, they don’t know to click on the “hamburger” icon to get the drop-down menu. We have actually had several calls of this nature. > Has anyone had any similar experience?
I'm looking for a professional answer for it.
Can I ask them to just train their users or should I give up and replace it with word "Menu" or change it to a horizontal menu and show it all the time?
Considering that they may also use their small smart phones, would anyone have any better suggestion?
Thank you,
Kathy

I don't know, but the Hamburger menu is pretty ubiquitous. Open up most mobile apps and they will have it. Facebook has, Twitter has it and many others do too. So if they don't know what it is they have been living under a rock. While that's not impossible and there will be some, I don't think it'll warrant re-arranging the entire experience around those very few and you'll be better off re-educating or fielding their questions, than changing the common experience for everyone else.

You can use a tooltip to help on desktop browsers, but that won't help on mobile displays which don't have tooltip support.
