been using this for years, now need to send to a distribution list. o blind cc myself. message comes through, addressed to the list, but nobody on the list get the message.

Could be blocked by your email server... especially if the list is large. If it shows in your message that is received the cc/bcc is getting sent to the server, but either the server is not sending it or the receiving server is refusing to deliver. These days the rules on CC lists are very strict.

The better way to handle this is to send individual emails to each of the recipients or put the recipients as primary recipients in the to list.

thanks. i usually send individual emails, but it is a big list that changes often, and i didn't want to have to do a second maintenance. it's all internal emails, the same server is sending and receiving. email admins have lifted a restriction on the address and i'm now sending successfully.

Ah good... As I mentioned - it's harder and harder to get things sent via email that has anything non-standard on it.
