Hello,
We are in a evaluation process for the migration of a application including a EShop based on the FoxPro West Wind Web Store. ( +/- 15 year old so with a lot of personal stuff .. ) and looking to the WW .NET web store
Last update of your .NET web store seems to be from 2014, so ..
- Is ok to test the demo with Visual Studio 2017 ?
- Is it the Data Access Layer used is your recent ( last update 2017 ) West Wind .net Toolkit ?
- If we run Fox and .Net on the same server are we able to share data like "session", "user" .. between FOX and .NET ?
Marcel
The .NET store is rather dated as well. Is a WebForms application and it's based on older business objects (not the ones in the toolkit although similar but using DataSets from original .NET).
That says it still works - I still use it with Visual Studio 2017 and it's reasonably well designed and easy to use and maintain, but it is dated tech.
Compatibilty with Fox data - I have no idea. I discontinued supporting the FoxPro part of years ago, but with table changes that match schemas I suspect it should still work.

Hello, just play around with your online shop and having some errors ..
If you run the application on the local machine (not a remote) you should be able to get a more descriptive error message.
Alternately you can change the error <customErrors>
settings to Off
to get the full error message.

Ooops sorry I forgot to mention it was on your online shop ( https://store.west-wind.com/ )
