Gustavo,
In step 3 ('publish'), FAA checks whether you have FAS installed and, if not, offers you to download it.
Hello Gilles.. When I install FAA, the installation is suspended and the following message appears:
Installation was suspended before FoxIncloud Web Application Studio (Trial) was finished installing.
The IIS directory was being created in the Temp folder at that time
I need to know if you have to install something additional ... Grace
Hello Gustavo, I am like you , a simply user of FoxInCloud and now, i don't have to use FAA.. All my projects are created directly under FoxInCloud. Perhaps Thierry will reply for this FAA's error. Regards Gilles
Hello Gustavo,
Please post screenshots so that we can understand exactly what happens and support you… This helps us go to the right spot in the programs and find out what happens.
If you're installing FAS (not FAA I guess), please provide a screenshot or list of the files installed and what you have in IIS management console.
The IIS directory was being created in the Temp folder at that time
The IIS virtual directories are created in the standard location inetpub\wwwroot
Hi Gustavo,
1- Message asks you to paste (ctrl+V) the error data into an email;
we sent you a translation into Spanish; did you review it?
2- do you have IIS installed on your computer?
can you provide a screenshot or the exact phrase when installation roll-back starts?
Thanks for the log details, unfortunately it does not help in this case.
Here is what we need to help you: when error occurs, please follow the instructions on the messageBox; here is a google trad translation of this messageBox:
Un error en tiempo de ejecución acaba de ocurrir, lo sentimos para eso.
La información de depuración útil fue COPIADA en su portapapeles (restaurado posteriormente).
Para ayudarnos a mejorar FoxInCloud Adaptation Assistant, por favor PASTE (ctrl + V) esta información en un E-MAIL para:

this is the information we expected, thanks
you could also have used PASTE
in an email to support at foxincloud.com
issue fixed, just restart FAA while connected, it'll update automatically
thanks
Hi Thierry
I did the analysis of the project and ended successfully.
Some questions: The manual adaptation I do in the project that is in the folder "Test"?
After the adaptations, the project is compiled in the traditional way, in Test?
When do I use FAS?
Do not I use FAA again?

I did the analysis of the project and ended successfully.
Do you mean analysis or adaptation?
Some questions:
The manual adaptation I do in the project that is in the folder "Test"?
NO NO NO
Test is just … test -- it's only for you to check that the automated adaptations don't break your application, before you decide to adapt your 'real' application, in other words your desktop application.
You adapt your desktop-only
application to become a desktop and web
application; same code base for both worlds.
After the adaptations, the project is compiled in the traditional way, in Test?
- you can't compile the project with a trial version you need the full version with source code
- test project will never get compiled (see above)
When do I use FAS?
After step 3- Publish
; see A-Z tutorial, session 3 and session 4
Do not I use FAA again?
After you've adapted your code? Depends on your preference.
FAA is an assistant to do the adaptations; once you've learned how to do the adaptations, you won't need FAA anymore.
If you have a lot of new code, you can save time by using FAA to adapt it (the automatic part) and give you direct pointers to where you need to rework.
Regards...
Can I copy the contents of the "Test" folder into another folder and work with that code ???
This way the new folder will contain the adapted code and continue the testing process for the project to work in VFP IDE
Thank you
I don't see any benefit at doing that:
- FAA not only copied the code, it also changed all file addresses to match test directory
- You will loose your manual adaptations once you decide to adapt your original application.
Instead take some time to double check your adapted test application in desktop mode. To be completely sure, you can even publish it (step 3).
Once you're sure, just switch to source mode and forget about test mode.
