Has anyone been able to get Frx2Any to work in COM mode? There was this thread about it long ago, but a resolution was not posted: https://support.west-wind.com/Thread4F00FB0YY.wwt
I personally use XFRX in my apps, whihc doesn't require drivers - making it ideal for web deployment.
I was afraid that link might end up being my post. We never did get it to work and put the project on hold but it's still on the wish list.
Basically what we want to do is this: from within our WC app, run an FRX report and direct its output to a PDF. Then make that PDF available for download or viewing over the web.
We already own FRX2ANY which was why I tried that first, but we'd spring for XRFX if that's what it would take.

If XFRX will do the trick I'd highly recommend going that route. It bypasses the Windows Print engine completely and is very fast and light weight and you don't have to deal with the print spooler going bonkers on you if you're under load.

Hi Stein,
Michael posted this as a result of a conversion we had offline. He's hosting the app I'm working on and I encountered the same problem as you did with Frx2Any. He installed a printer driver for me but it still did not work.
The response I got from Frx2Any support was "Sorry, I never deal with this kind of situation."
I switched to XFRX and all is fine.
Carl.
