After nearly three weeks of setting things up which included some great support from Rick at West-Wind, this morning my server with 13 sites two of which are WC applications decided to crash. About an hour has passed since the WC WebMonitor first told me all the sites were down. At that point I tried to remote desktop into the server and when that failed I went to Vultr admin console. I tried to restart the server and got back an error message that basically said, we don't know what is going on and there is nothing I can do until they fix the problem. I opened a trouble ticket and have been waiting for a reply ever since. To bad they don't have a customer hot line... I not stuck with a large investment into setting u their servers without any support to help me get back up and running. This sucks!

Update -- I received a reply to my open ticket, I've been down for 1:15 minutes. The reply says the Vultr engineers are aware of the problem with routing in the region and will send me an update eta as soon as they have something to report.

I think the problem has to do with the major Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage. It's affecting a lot of secondary providers like Vultr, DigitalOcean etc. that host their storage infrastructure on AWS. Must be selective however - I didn't see any outage on the West Wind sites.

Could also be your domain service that is down. Lots of shit is broken today on the Internet due to the AWS problems.

Yea, it is strange because our mail server is still running on Vultr although it has a completely different IP Address. If it is a major router that has failed, one would think there are plenty of backup systems in place... but good to hear, I'm not the only one (and it was not something we did yesterday...lol).

Looks like your server came back up... I jumped back on with RDP and found my session from yesterday still had everything open - your server never went down, it was the service routing that likely was the problem which definitely points at the AWS problem.

Yea, I got a txt message from Web Monitor when the connection was restored. I guess it took about three hours and the description Vultr gave was a patch needed to be installed on a host node. Not sure if that had anything to do with AWS but I am really glad it was not my applications or anything we did that might killed it.

Thanks again for your help!
