We are using the wwSMTP to send emails from our VFP application is there a way to have a copy of the email automatically put into the SENT Folder. I know that this does happen when connecting to Exchange server and Gmail but it is not happening when we connect using our customer's own smtp servers.

could it be an Exchange server setting affecting this? FYI, I have never tried to get SMTP email to save in sent folder, but I am intriqued.

FYI, I am looking for work. See my job post in this message board: https://support.west-wind.com/Thread6D40VDOKO.wwt

John,

How could that possibly work? 😄

The reason it works with Exchange or GMail is because these services explicitly store emails in these special folders and when you pull your email in your email client it gets pulled down from the these special folders.

If you use a generic SMTP server or a service that doesn't support this feature of capturing sent messages, you can't possibly store that info into a Sent folder that likely doesn't even exist.
