Hi Rick,

Had some time this weekend to start working with the latest and greatest. The install went great, but when I tried to switch the .net managed handler, I got this error

Unknown application error

Invalid Com Server ProgId: wcdemo.wcdemoServer - Account: SYSTEM - IIS Virtual:

I checked the admin page and discovered that it is looking for - c:\wwwc\wcdemo.exe which does not exist.

Am I supposed to use the console to create a project named wcdemo and associated exe?

The sample project is a no-touch project. Meaning there's no custom configuration it's just run as is.

Those paths you are referring to are not used for execution - they are for server updates only, so that doesn't matter.

COM won't work until you compile the project on your machine and the COM object is registered on your machine. How long have you been using Web Connection now? 😄

I have used WWWC since 1999. I never used your console to create new projects. I also have not had the pleasure of using the .net managed handler in production yet, which is what I am trying to understand completely before I put it in production.

I have used ISAPI in COM for most of the past 22 years. I know intimately the effects of changes in IIS both from working with you 1 on 1, and through tens of thousands of hours of trial and error.

I was trying to inspire that the awesome docs did remind me that the demo's would not work in COM 'out of the box' and it would be great if they would. This would allow me to understand 'how it works' without having to figure out how to make it all work on my own, and perhaps incorrectly.
