Hi Rick,

I have com launch permission question. What are permissions have to be set? I ran dcomcnfg.exe to investigate and set permissions to launch com.

I have 'Server Account' SYSTEM and SYSTEM has rights to launch com locally and remotely on machine;
       'Authenticated User' Domain Administrator;
       'Admin Account' Administrator.

Should Domain Administrator ('Authenticated User') and Administrator ('Admin Account') have special permission to launch com locally and remotely?

Thank you, Kuzma Karbachinskiy kkarbachinskiy@oneworldonestop.com

The only thing you need to match is the user you are using for the Application Pool.

Whether that's the actual user, or a group the user is in that shouldn't matter, but that's the account that needs to be in there. You'll want to add that account either at the Computer level (if other EXE COM objects are used) or on the specific server.

Hi Rick,

Thank you for replay. Did you mention IIS Application Pool user? I have IIS Application Pool identity: 'LocalSystem'. Do I need to match 'LocalSystem'?

If you Application Pool Identity is System you have full rights and don't need to set anything for launch permissions.
