Currently company uses windows server 2012 R2 to host application based on web connection 6.20 frame work. In the future the application is going to be moved to windows server 2016. I understand that OS windows server 2012 R2 will be outdated soon. May you please outline more benefits usage windows server 2016 with web connection? Is windows server 2016 better for web connection comparatively with windows server 2012 R2? What are the problems usage web connection on windows server 2016?

I don't think there are any major benefits in newer versions of Windows other than slightly better overall server performance, lower memory usage etc. These are not specific to Web Connection just overall.
Server 2012R2 is a solid release and if you are on that there's no compelling reason to move. Older versions it's probably a good idea. Also if you do move from 2012R2 there won't be any surprises - the OS functionality as it pertains to Web Connection is pretty much identical.
