I moved my app from a Win 2008 VPS (AMD CPU, 1and1, Parallels) to a newer Win 2016 VPS (Xeon E5, 1and1, VMWare) and copied the entire system folders, APPSERVR\ APACHE2\ INETPUB\ etc. from the old server to the new one.

I'm using Web Connection 5.55, or actually 5.68, Apache 2.2, file-based with a C:\TEMP folder. The system is running fine on the new server, BUT when the server has been idle for a couple of minutes, the next web page request gives error 500 Internal Server Error, and that happens much too often, not all the time, but much too often.

The C:\TEMP\WCERRORS.TXT file contains entries like this, when the error occurs:

2019.03.7 01:41:39:974 - 4760_901E984B8192 - c:\temp\wc_4760_901E984B8192.out - /wconnect/wc.dll? ... 2 - 4760 - Com: -1:0:0

2019.03.7 01:41:39:974 - 4760_901E984B8192 - Error reading outbound client data from disk. - /wconnect/wc.dll? ... 183 - 4760 - Com: -1:0:0

2019.03.7 01:41:39:974 - 4760_901E984B8192 - Web Connection Request timed out. - /wconnect/wc.dll? ... 183 - 4760 - Com: -1:0:0

Do you have any suggestions what I should do to fix this, which components to upgrade etc?

(I know, I'm way behind the times and there is probably A LOT to upgrade... but which one(s) first?)

THANKS SO MUCH in advance! 😃 Hermann

I'm not sure - that looks like some sort of disk problem or a timeout perhaps. Make sure Anti-virus isn't interfering either - it looks like the output file is getting erased before Web Connection has a chance to pick it up or there's a permissions problem accessing the file that is generated.
