Hello, since friday I have some problems with my com servers. I am running 3 web servers ( on 1 computer Windows 2016 Server ) with the same exe and same com server
Friday I was unable to upgrade the exe because of pending COM instance I decide to split the servers and create 3 different exe with 3 different com server. ( same project 'saved as' with creation of new name and progid for each server )
Now 2 Servers are ok and start only 2 instances but the 3 one continue to create new instances and log the same error "Com Server not available - trying to reload: The RPC server is unavailable."
But the the original instances loaded and viewed with admin.aspx are still runing and refreshed
DLL 6.21 (.NET Handler)
It seem's that the second process is healty but never called, he is shutdown properly ( trace log reports 0.000009,wwenv,destroy,73,wwutils.fxp,1 ) but no activity while other instance where created ??
Just for information when the web.config is updated all the comm instances are killed by the IIS but webconnection killed only the process collection at screen ( the 2 first loaded ),the good news is that now I am able to update the exe remotely 😃
Oops sorry I was stupid, friday I had problem to get a Let's encrypt certificate for the secondary websites ( running same content but with a different name ) so I create additional web site in the IIS to get the https certificate and this is why more instances comes up...
