We are currently using West Wind Connection v 5.5 configured under Apache 2.2. Due to security issues, we are under pressure to upgrade Apache to the latest 2.4 version. We had tried this step last year and there was an issue with the mod_webconnection_isapi.so not being compatible with Apache 2.4. Do you have an updated file available that would work with the latest version of Apache?
Yes it looks like Apache 2.4 requires a recompile of Apache Modules.
I can't make any guarantees about this. There are so few people that use Apache and I can't even find the source code for the module at this point - I'll have to dig through my archives. If I find it and it recompiles as is I might do it but if there are changes required this won't happen.
Seriously though, is there any reason you need to run Apache on Windows? Unless you have other stuff running that depends on Apache, it might be just easier to switch to run the application on IIS. IAC, there won't be an Apache module for 2.4 right away.

Hi Rick,
Thanks for getting back to me.
West Wind is integrated with an in-house web-based Environment, Health and Safety Reporting System that runs under Apache and Glassfish.
I was hoping and praying that a replacement of the apache mod_webconnection_isapi.so file for Apache 2.4 would be a quick fix to this issue.
We will go ahead and reinstall Westwind under IIS using another port as we are under pressure to resolve our security issue.
