FiC says it w "requires" three additional installs. This creates some mess:

  1. The user does not know that they will get a chance to deny those installs if they wish. The screen clearly says they must be installed, so the user is not likely to click further.

  2. Install does not detect whether these items are already installed and will try and re-install then and make a mess.

  1. It's the way InstallShield (IS) works and, unless someone can suggest smarter settings, it'll remain this way.
  2. On the latest versions, we've instructed IS to check whether the package is installed beforehand.

The IS settings needed are the ones to allow the user to select which components should be installed. In the IS manual it is under Creating Selectively Installable Applications. Now they seem to be set as Prerequisites.
