In WWHB I could construct direct links to topics like this:
https://<my root site>/help/index.html?topic=MyTopicName
This does not seem to work in the new world. Is there another way to do this with DM?
TIA
I guess you didn't read... 😄

I created this thread 2 days ago because you yelled at me for putting multiple questions in the same thread. 😃
😄
You just replied and linked to this topic which is basically the same thing as the previous post...

Just trying to keep each thread in its lane. As you answered the ?topic question in the one about jumping to in-page bookmarks, I thought it would be helpful to link them for all the lurkers. 😇
Changing history here. This is working. Thanks! This means I shouldn't have to significantly re-engineer my mechanism for jumping to a context sensitive help topic.
Sorry, one more pertinent detail. The topic loads but the topic tree does not also update which is why I think I missed it the first time around.
It should update the topic tree - it does for me.
Again - it might be a timing issue if the TOC is not fully loaded it may not show. First load is likely not going to work if your TOC is large as that takes a bit of time to load. There's a delay in there but it may not be enough to have the TOC fully loaded. In some cases you might get the TOC loaded but not rendered in which case the topic lookup works, but the topic selection does not.
Not much I can do about this as there's no real good way to know full render completion and even if it did it might just take too long to be workable.
