Hello,
I installed and ran the FoxInCloud Adaptation Assistant last night, running the Analyze and then Adapt features, and then closed down VFP when it was done.
When I started VFP this morning, I noticed that, when in the forms designer, I can no longer paste any object that I copy or cut. The paste menu options are disabled. And this only happens in the forms designer; I can paste in PRGs and reports.
I've tried to activate the menu item with sys(1500), I've set sysmenu to default, changed startup folders, and more, but nothing works. I still can't paste or CTRL-V in the forms designer.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Kirk,
This is an unknown issue… we've never experienced or heard of it.
FAA uses ASelObj()
, it may have an influence on object copy and paste…
I guess copying and pasting objects in designer goes through some OLE layer, maybe restarting Windows could help fix the issue.
Besides this, how do you rate your experience with FAA? Are the suggested adaptations comprehensive?
Try a cold boot.
Hello.
I figured out the issue. It wasn't the FAA process that caused the problem. I had actually changed my shortcut from running VFP in administrator mode to regular mode, and, after that, I could no longer paste into forms I had created using VFP in admin mode. Re-enabling admin mode solved the issue.
Thanks! Kirk
